Our Story
This organization was founded on the belief that abilities also come with responsibility. We want to use our knowledge, our energy, and the opportunities available to us to make a positive difference. And for us, it’s not just about today, but also about the next generation. We want our children to learn that compassion is a principle we live by. That’s why we are taking this journey together with them.
We began with the protection of octopuses. They are extraordinary, intelligent, and sentient animals. But because they don’t fit our idea of being “cute” or “lovable,” they often receive less attention. We want to change that. That’s why we advocate for greater protection and less consumption.
About Us
Kristina
Kristina is our Chairwoman and firmly believes that knowledge can change the world. She is deeply engaged with animal ethics, the consequences of industrial factory farming, and the protection of highly intelligent marine animals such as octopuses. With her experience in communicating knowledge, she has a particular talent for making complex topics understandable and accessible, allowing scientific findings to reach a wider audience.
Within the organization, she is responsible for our blogs and informational materials, through which she raises awareness about octopus farms, animal welfare, and sustainable nutrition. Her plant-based diet also reflects her belief that compassion for animals should be consistently put into practice in everyday life.
In addition, she develops and plans the organization’s campaigns and initiatives, making sure that ideas turn into concrete projects.
Anja is a member of the board and our organization’s treasurer. Behind the scenes, she keeps together the many small and large things that make our work possible. With great passion, organizational talent, and perseverance, she makes sure that ideas don’t just emerge, but become reality.
One of her particular priorities is inspiring young people to get involved and take responsibility. She wants to show them that everyone has the ability to make a positive difference. In doing so, she believes in the power of initiative, compassion, and personal conviction.
Because to her, real change doesn’t come from words, but from people who take action.
